This Privacy Policy explains how the Dermatology to the Stars conference website collects, uses, and protects your information. The site is operated by Dermatology to the Stars in partnership with The Gateway (thegatewaypro.com), which acts as the data controller for inquiries submitted through this site.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a limited amount of technical data needed to run the site securely.

Information you provide through our forms:

  • Sponsorship inquiries: your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, and the sponsorship interest you describe.
  • Contact inquiries: your name, email address, the nature of your inquiry, and your message.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal or medical information through these forms.

Information collected automatically:

  • Security and abuse prevention: when you submit a form, we briefly process your IP address to apply rate limits and to verify a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge. This protects the forms from spam and automated abuse.
  • Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, we collect standard usage data such as pages viewed and general device/browser information. No analytics load until you accept; see "Cookies and analytics" below.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your sponsorship or general inquiries.
  • To plan, operate, and communicate about the conference.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (only with your consent).
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

The site loads no analytics or marketing scripts until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Before consent, no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or PostHog code runs and no analytics cookies are set.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics loading.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We use a small set of trusted providers to operate the site. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

  • Resend: delivers inquiry emails to our team (the system of record for submissions).
  • Google Sheets (Google LLC): stores a convenience copy of inquiry submissions for our team.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): website analytics (only after consent).
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): audience measurement (only after consent).
  • PostHog: product analytics (only after consent).
  • Sentry: application error monitoring. Error reports are automatically scrubbed of personal data (form fields, emails, IP addresses, and request contents) before they are sent.
  • Vercel: website hosting and content delivery.
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile anti-spam verification on our forms.

Where your data is processed

The site and our providers process data in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry submissions for as long as necessary to respond to you and to maintain our normal business records, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted to us. To make a request, email hello@thegatewaypro.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the conference and our practices evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
